EL ZACATÍN FARM

CONCORDIA, ANTIOQUIA, COLOMBIA

El Zacatín farm is located in Concordia, Antioquia, Colombia at the top of the western mountain range. The farm sits at an altitude of 2.000 to 2.175 m.a.s.l. and has a total of 18 hectares.

It’s planted with coffee on 17 hectares and the varieties that they harvest are Caturra Chiroso, Bourbon Sidra, Wush Wush, SL28, Tabí, and Geisha.

The infrastructure on the farm is entirely dedicated to the production of specialty coffee and for the post-harvest process, the cherries are dried in African beds.

Eduardo Fernandez-Restrepo is a third-generation producer who became a pioneer of specialty coffee production in Concordia about 5 years ago. Fernandez-Restrepo’s family owns 3 farms in the area—Zacatin, Illusion, and La Costain—all planted with coffee and a few hectares of cacao.
